Located in Arlington’s nationally known Entertainment District - home to notable institutions such as the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Six Flags Over Texas - this new Arlington Police station improves the PD’s presence and community outreach in the Northern district. An adaptive re-use of a former grocery store, the project includes the North Patrol Division, Crime Lab, Evidence Storage and Code Enforcement.

In addition to optimizing workflow for the North Precinct, this substation houses the City’s new central evidence storage facility. Encompassing roughly 10,000 square feet, Evidence Storage is connected directly to the Crime Lab for seamless chain of custody. The 24/7 facility includes high-density rolling storage racks, narcotics storage, refrigerator/freezer storage for DNA kits, long gun and handgun storage, valuables storage, exterior storage for large and temporary items, and a vehicle bay. The crime lab features both chemical and non-chemical processing, and a NIBIN suite with a shoot tank for firearm forensics.
