Hilltop Phase II is a major addition to Texas State University’s campus, delivering 1,500 beds and a 25,000 SF dining hall that elevates student wellness, campus connectivity, and sense of place. Sited atop a prominent hillside, the project reinforces the Hilltop precinct as a walkable, student-centered residential village while strengthening connections across campus.

The residence hall is organized as two ten-story, T-shaped towers connected by an open-air portal that frames views into a landscaped courtyard and establishes a strong vertical community. Dual-occupancy rooms with pod-style restrooms are supported by distributed lounges, coworking areas, and quiet study nooks. Generous glazing, angular tower ends, and a two-story lobby enhance daylight, identity, and arrival experience. A partnership between RSA (Design Architect) and Kirksey, the project accommodates peak move-in and move-out for up to 2,500 students while maintaining a pedestrian-friendly environment year-round.
