Through the Texas Facilities Commission, the Texas Department of Public Safety commissioned RSA to design a Fleet Maintenance and Fueling Facility to support state trooper operations on its 1,100-acre campus in Williamson County. Developed in tandem with RSA’s State Trooper Administration and Training Headquarters, the facility services cruisers, SUVs, and training vehicles while consolidating maintenance and fueling functions on site to improve operational efficiency.

The Fleet Maintenance Building includes multiple vehicle service bays equipped with hydraulic lifts to support a full range of maintenance activities, including mechanical repairs, tire service, lubrication, and routine inspections. Specialized spaces include a radio shop for communications equipment, a towing service bay, and organized parts storage to improve efficiency and reduce vehicle downtime. An on-site fueling station supports uninterrupted operations.

Architecturally, the facility elevates a pre-engineered metal building through the use of large-format limestone quarried within two miles of the site, paired with standing-seam metal roofing and red cedar trim. This material palette reflects the character of the Texas Hill Country while delivering durability appropriate for a high-use fleet maintenance facility.
